It's the holidays and we are still working on our long-overdue project. Hope to complete it soon, preferably by the end of next week.

We had about 3 hours between lectures today, decided to spend some time outside MJC. Skipped some useless thing we were supposed to attend to and went to Tampines Mall to catch a movie. Due to our schedule, we could only watch "The Forgotten".
After "The Forgotten", saw that a movie was about to start in another theatre. Since we had some time left, we went in for a "sneak preview". The advertisements and trailers were playing. Didn't know what movie was showing in that theatre, wanted to ask the other people, but decided not to. Wanted some suspense, decided to guess and wait.

These were shown on the theatre screen:
-Advertisements
-"Doll Master" trailer
-"Polar Express" trailer
-More advertisements
-Even more advertisements
-Movie starting (finally...)
And the movie started like this:
1. Sky with clouds
2. Crescent moon
3. Boy holding a fishing rod and balloons sitting on moon
4. Balloons released and float into the sky
5. Alphabets spelling "Dreamworks" appears from balloons (Dreamworks?! Cartoon...)
6. Boy casts fishing hook
7. Fishing hook with a worm attached drops into water
8. Worm holds his breath, turns blue
9. Shark swims up from behind the worm, worm starts trembling
10. Shark introduces himself comically, worm faints

Oh, so it's "Shark Tale". Others in the theatre must be thinking: "What are a bunch of guys in JC uniform doing watching 'Shark Tale'?" Realising the stupidity, we burst out laughing.

We had no more time, had a lecture to catch. Left the theatre and made our way back to MJC.

Well, the SC organised a Year-End Bash. It's to be held at Sentosa's Palawan Beach, and the response was "overwhelming".
When Liane asked those who were interested to raise their hands, not a single hand was seen. In the end, it's scrapped.
Pathetic, that's what MJC is. If such an event was organised in VJC, you could be sure 90% would be interested. But in MJC? "Who cares?" Most JC1 students in MJC just can't be bothered with what's going on in college anymore.
Also, this blog is meant for students to air their constructive criticism. However, if students just want to give negative criticism, we can't do anything. That's just their personal views...

9 bags went missing today during Mother Tongue Examinations. 9 whole bags, not just handphones, wallets and other valuables. How can such blatant looting in broad daylight go unnoticed?
Not that any of The Three Musketeers were affected, but this is another indication of the problems with MJC's admin. Yes, the thieves are at fault, but shouldn't the admin have assigned someone to look after students' belongings? Isn't that common sense?
MJC needs some serious waking up.

Okay, after all this bickering, the SC and T3Ms have decided to work together towards the common goal of improving MJC.
We should pinpoint the root of these problems. Obviously, the unhappiness of Meridians stems from the MJC administration department. But we were also dissatisfied with the SC for not being able to help us. Now that the SC has heard us and are willing to do its utmost best to help us, the least we should do is to let the SCs know what we're unhappy with.
Hence, this blog will be an avenue whereby the unhappiness of Meridians will be voiced out and heard by the SC. The SC will then try to do something to solve these unhappiness.
Also, the blog will now resume functioning.

Finally this is getting somewhere...

This blog is supposed to be suspended, but to clarify certain urgent issues, here we are again.

Firstly, we know who the really hardworking SCs are. Kai Sheng and Liane are probably the only two SCs who are hardworking and passionate about serving MJC. The rest are just in the SC for PEARLS. However, Kai Sheng and Liane alone do not make up the SC and the SC is not run by the two of them alone. Sorry to be unfair to the two of them, but as a whole the SC has failed miserably. They can organise activities, but they can't voice out the feedback of Meridians.
To Kai Sheng and Liane: Thank you for your effort in contributing to MJC, but it just ain't enough.

Secondly, we know that the SC knows who we are. Almost the whole of MJC knows, don't they? We also know that the SC knows about this blog. This blog was aimed at criticising the SC so that they'll improve. If they don't read it, then who should?

Lastly, to Joel Tan (The Daily Backtrack - http://dailybacktrack.blogspot.com) especially, don't say we haven't done anything for MJC. How else do you explain the shorter timetables? Everyone who read this blog before we suspended it knows that the SC has nothing to do with it. Even the President of the SC herself confessed to us personally that the SC didn't know how it came about.

We've clarified what we have to. Now, bye again.
